We would like you to be part of our Christian fellowship.  The following page describes some of the ministries at Mountain View.  In today's world, it is important to have a Christ-centered home, with a solid Christian foundation. In the words of Joshua, "As for me and my household, we will serve the Lord" (Jos.24:15).  We provide ministries to help families and individuals to live a Christ-centered lifestyle.

Worship with Us

We focus on God and His word. As we are open to Him as He teaches and inspires us to do His will in our everyday lives. Check out the Services page for more details.

Music

Linda is our Worship team leader and Choir Director.  The choir and worship team meet on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 PM, for prayer, practice, and fellowship. It is a good time to practice making a joyful noise unto the Lord!  All are welcome.

Our Choir has two major annual events, one at Christmas and the other Easter.  These events include Music, Readings, Drama, and the reading of God's Word.

Programs for All Ages

There are ministries for all ages from children through adult, with opportunities for all to grow in, and serve, the Lord.  Along with opportunities to be served, there are also opportunities to reach out to both those in our church family and community.

Mt. View Church of the Nazarene seeks to provide age sensitive material for our children. We also have a number of Sunday School classes to provide spiritual growth for our youth and adults as well. We hope you will experience the love and caring nature of our church family, as we consider all people our extended family. We hope you will consider becoming a part of our church.

Sunday School

• The Ambassadors adult class is taught by Jim using the denominational quarterly lessons.  Coffee and donuts seem to find their way into the back of the classroom almost every week.
• The Quarterly adult class uses the denominational Sunday School Quarterly and is taught by Walter.
• Our teens are lead by Youth Pastor Eddie.  There is also a youth meeting every Thursday evening.
• Our children's classes include, Nursery (birth-3yrs.), 4's and 5's, Primary (Kindergarten - 1st grade), Middlers (2nd - 3rd grade), and Juniors (4th and 5th grade). We use age sensitive material to help the children understand God's kingdom and Jesus' purpose here on Earth as well as in Heaven.

Kid's Church

We are excited about our Kid's Church program and hope that we can involve your children in this exciting program for learning about God, His Word, and our world.  Missy is our Children's Pastor and leads our Kid's Church program.

Family Events

These events are a time to do other activities that are family oriented.  These special events include Christian Videos and special Bible studies. Another special family event is done by our youth ministries. They do the Sunday morning worship on each 5th Sunday of the month and there is a church fellowship dinner after that service. This gives our families and singles special fellowship time to interact with each other.

Youth

YAC - Youth Alive for Christ: Our programs for the teens include Sunday School, retreats, concerts, fun activities and prayer meetings.  They are also involved in District and General Church activities. They participate in the District Impact Choir that travels all over Arizona ministering to other churches. They also participate in an annual mission trip to Mexico. Weekly meetings are held on Thursday evenings at 7:00 p.m. We also believe in training our youth and allowing them to step into positions of responsibility in the church. Check out the YAC web site.

Women's Ministry

We have a devoted group of women who organize retreats, luncheons, baby and wedding showers, and meal preparation and delivery for people in special times of need.

Men's Ministry

Our men's ministries include a Bible study that focuses on the special needs of men in our world today. The men are also volunteer to do maintenance and repairs around the church property.

Missions

We support the cause of World Missions. Our denomination has more than 750 missionaries in more than 148 countries. We receive special offerings to support these missionaries in their work. Robyn is our missions director and keeps us informed about what is happening with our missions work around the world.

Scouting (Unit 102)

Our scouting ministry seeks to teach character, honor, respect, and reverance to boys ages 6-18. To accomplish this we have both a Cub Scout Pack and a Boy Scout Troop. Click on the Scout ministries link on the mvnaz Home web page.
